The Eaters of the Dead dwell mainly in the caverns of the Blood Ridge, though their members extend throughout the underground, as it is not uncommon for a clan to become isolated from the others due to the ever-changing landscape.
They do not seek expansion or glory like the Black Face, nor do they revere the Witches beyond a healthy respect for their powers. They are content to breed underground and sate their eternal hunger with human flesh, which also nourishes their queen-goddess, the Queen of Hatred. Their cannibal diet and the sulfurous waters of the underground springs have undoubtedly tainted their minds beyond any possible recovery.
The cults they perform in the caves are nauseating to behold, always involving some form of ritual sacrifice or fertility ceremonies, in which the breeders of the tribe (bloated women fattened to resemble their Queen of Hatred, barely able to walk) are used as mere objects for fertilization.
Their flesh is marked by scarification rituals that give their wiry bodies a cruel appearance, while their teeth are sharpened as part of their coming-of-age rites. They also paint themselves with earthy pigments and are masters of ambush tactics.
